How to set up Auto Reminder

  1. Go to System Admin and select “Auto Reminder”



  1. Select the Application Type you want to set up “Auto Reminder” for. In this example it is for “Building Permit”


  1. Click the highlighted icon. This will generate a pop-up screen as shown below


  1. In the pop-up screen select the Reminder Type. In this example, we are selecting “Permit Completed by (Lapsing) Reminder as shown below



  1. Fill in the number of days to remind as highlighted. We have put in 30 days. Also, you can fill in a description. This will be useful when you have multiple reminders set up.


  1. 1.       Set the Work from state to “Lapse Notification” and Work to state to “About to Lapse” as highlighted using the dropdown menus





  1. If you want Auto Reminder to change the status just select “New” from the drop-down menu as shown


  1. If you would rather change the status yourself, select the “Current” option. 
  2. Select “Submit”

Auto Reminder is all set and ready to go. 

Auto Reminder is a versatile function. Whatever the action you want that would be normally carried out by using the “Proceed To” tab can be set up by Auto Reminder. Examples for this would be sending emails, letters and creating tasks. Please let us know what action you want us to enable on Auto Reminder and we will set it up
